A still life of a plate of a lime, a lemon, and a baby tomato for a Drawing 2 homework
assignment. The focus of the
assignment was simply to get
acquainted with the usage of soft pastels, by using them to draw colorful still lifes of food in our homes. I chose the lime, lemon, and tomato for their differences in bright colors, which allowed me
to get the most out of my
pastels and get a feel for them early in their usage. Also shown, in the following page, is the
second half of my Fruits project, with the still life drawn from
another angle. The assignment and objectives were the same, though I think I was able to manage my proportions more accurately that time around.
